What to Expect at Little Farmers Cabin

At Little Farmers Cabin, our goal is to connect your little ones with the wonders of the outdoor world and the joys of farming. We believe that being outside is fantastic for well-being, and our sessions reflect this philosophy. Each session is unique, varying with the seasons to offer fresh and exciting activities every time.

At the beginning of each session, I will show you the facilities and briefly explain about the activities for the session.

A cowbell will be rung 10 minutes before the end of the session for a quick tidy up and to preparing your little farmers for leaving.

Yes, parking for 5 spaces will be available on the road side in the layby. There will be a "Little Farmers Cabin" sign. Only Little Farmers Cabin guests can park here. Some spaces will also be available by the farm.
Yes, the cabin is in a safe area for Little Farmers Cabin guests. However, please be aware that there may be farm vehicles (tractors, trailers, etc) operating, and at times, there may be animal movements around the farm. When farming calender events are happening, for example, sheep shearing, lambing, etc, there may be opportunities to see these activities so long as you are being accompanied.
There is a toilet available for guests to use. It is located next to the cabin. There are also baby changing facilities available.
Little Farmers Cabin guests have access to both the cabin and outside cabin area. Adults who are bringing their little farmers are fully responsible for their children at all times. There are lots of beautiful public footpaths around the area but access into farm buildings/shed is prohibited. The exception if it is a guided tour or special cabin event that requires access to the farm, I will be accompaining you.
There is free tea, coffee, water and biscuits available in the cabin for adults + children. This is a 'help yourself' area for you to choose when the most convenient time for you to relax have a drink and a biscuits. Little Farmers Cabin is nut free zone, please let me know of any allergies food related or not that I need to be aware of. There is also a homemade cake/baked item per session for an additional cost if you fancy a treat. Payment can be card or cash for this once at the cabin.
Yes, in the cabin, a cosy little space has been made for breast feeding.
Yes, but please dress your 'farmers' according to the weather. Sessions will be structured depending on the weather.
Little Farmers Cabin is an experience for children aged 1-5 years. I understand that siblings may want to join in the fun too. And certain things will crop up in life! Special events are being planned for older "farmers" so please keep an eye on the website for updates.
Yes, these are all the farm's animals, and they are all very friendly. The cows and sheep are friendly, nosy, and like a treat every now and then. All the other animals for example hens, ducklings, stick insects and rabbits love to be stroked, but please wait for me to come and find you and see if you are ready to hold and cuddle them. Please ensure you have washed your hands before and after handling the animals.
